AI ICD CODING ENGINE – CRYANIC CASE STUDY

Alchemed has created a leading edge AI ICD 10 coding engine for medical reports which ingests the textual clinician reports and proposes ICD10 codes for invoicing. The AI ICD 10 Coding Engine works by digitally submitting reports through multiple large language models and a series of proprietary prompts designed by Alchemed. Alchemed has tested a variety of LLM’s individually and in combination, along with a selection of prompts to find the optimal solution. The AI components work in conjunction with a proprietary rules’ engine. The Alchemed AI coding engine then reviews and ranks, outputs from the various LLMs before providing suggested ICD 10 codes and brief textual justifications for the selection of those codes. The coding engine operates on an asynchronous basis.
